I was willing to stand beside you in whatever length of time it took to get you, and I thought I had so much time to deal with, I made a mistake and I lost my chance with you. You're the one I love, the one girl, the one friend, the one soul that comforts mine, and can cut to my core like a hot knife through wax. Through these years, I've enjoyed getting to really know you on so many levels, sometimes I think you forget. You forget the drunken ramblings, the confessions, the promises.. you forget the fact that I've been so busy but I've still found time for you. You forget that I have been the only person you could turn to, who would happily provide safety and love to you, and who you could trust and count on. You forget what it feels like when someone loves you truly as I do, who would never really quit on you even if they said they were because that's what it will take to make you happy now, even if it them. I don't know what I was thinking when I started to overbear you. I am so confident in what is between us and what we can be that I felt selfishly impatient and wanting to force it. I am sorry, and I realized that late.. and I'm going to make my mistakes like any other guy, but darlin', I could make worse mistakes, I could have bigger problems, and I could deny my faults instead of wanting to work on them. You really never will know what you gave away, and I hope you see it. It's your fault for not understanding that guys are dumb sometimes but the ones worth keeping are the guys like me. The ones that will be loyal and love you and do whatever we can do to show you that and who will never really give up on you, or dreams, or the future they mutually confessed to having, who would protect your heart like it's our job to do, and who would be willing to change to better themselves and to be better for you and the family they dreamed of having with you. We've had our problems but we've always gotten over them. I don't think there's ever been one dang time we haven't stood beside eachother in support and out of love for another. I also know you don't want this to end just as much as I don't want it to, but you'll accept it if it does. Until it really hits you. You have been hurt in the past, and I can respect defenses because of that but girl those guys aren't me.. I cared for you, like truly cared for you. We've continued to challenge, support, and love eachother in some of our hardest addictions, life moments, and personal struggles. I'm an idiot for my actions. I only wanted your forgiveness and the understanding that I know I have to work on things. I never will give up on you. I won't, even if I say I am. I believe in this, even when you can't see it, or don't believe in it, or simply refuse it. Like it or not, we actually found something , and I think you let some stuff get in the way of it's greatness, and you need to stop investing so much time in so many people, when the one that deserves it, is right in front of you. Relationships will have problems, we've gotten through all of them so far, and I think we both know it's worth the fight. I'll do anything for you, I don't think I'm one that you should really take for granted and give up on. I really hope you find this to be true.
