If the dealer says they will fix the small dents on the used car you are buying....Make them write that down on the deal sheet....and it needs to be signed off by the manager....what ever they say they will do...make them write it down and sign the "Will do"....Make them do it....If you want a car they don't have...and they say they must do a dealer trade...Make sure you have the VIN number of the car they are trading for....you have that on the deal sheet or proper documents that you know they are bound too....If your vehicle does not come in the day they promised...they DO NOT HAVE THE CAR, THEY NEVER HAD THE CAR. They hope you ware down and take the car they have. Anything they say they will do, you must get it in detail. DO NOT BUY AFTER MARKET WARRANTY. Only buy the aftermarket warranty if it is manufacture based....Like a General Motors used car warranty...it's from the manufacture...not the local dealer or some company that issues aftermarket warranty. The aftermarkets make a dealer tons of money...also the finance person gets a lot of their income off the sale of the extended warranty...Don't just buy off the monthly payment...that's what they want...YOU MUST KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THAT CAR COST....IF YOU DON'T KNOW DOWN TO THE LAST DIME... they will sneak things in on you that you did not want...and in truth those things have very little value....plus, you are paying interest on the aftermarket warranty....for the term of the note...chances are you will be paying for a warranty that has run it's time limits..and you continue to pay for it !!
